IPMAT stands for Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test. The Exam was started by IIM Indore in 2011 as an entrance test for its IPM Programme. What started as a small step has now transformed into a revolution with several IIMs following the footsteps and launching their own IPM Programmes

IPMAT Exam is a CBT (Computer based test) held across 34 cities in India

The Total Number of Questions is 100 with maximum marks being 400

Application Procedure:

Eligible Candidates Should Apply on IIM Indore Website (www.iimidr.ac.in) before the application deadline

Application fee of INR 4130/- must be paid online (50% Discount for SC/St/PwD candidates)
Eligibility Criteria:
Each of IIM Indore, IIM Ranchi & NIRMA University have their own Criteria. Lets Have a look at Criteria for IIM Indore below:

General and NC-OBC Category

Minimum 60% in Std. X and Std. XII

Maximum age limit is 20 years born on or after August 01, 2001

SC,ST and PWD (DA) Category

Minimum 55% in Std. X and Std. XII -

Maximum age limit is 25 years, born on or after August 01, 1995.

Candidate should have passed Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination in 2019, 2020 or appearing in 2021.

The percentage of marks would be calculated based on the aggregate marks of all subjects.

Letter grades or grades points must be converted to percentage by the Board/ Competent Authority.

Applicants pursuing studies in affiliation to foreign Board’s like IGCSE and IB can also apply.

Selection Criteria:
IIM Indore & IIM Ranchi have their own selection methodology. You can read them in the details by following the adjacent links. Broadly Speaking their are 5 common steps:
1. Apply for IPMAT Exam Online. For IIM Ranchi, you will have to fill IIM Ranchi application form as well.
2. Appear for IPMAT test as per the venue on your Admit Card
3. Both IIM Indore & IIM Ranchi will declare separate shortlists for next stage of PA (Personal Assessment)
4. Appear for Personal Assessment. The Assessment can consist of Interview & Written Ability test.
5. Both IIM Indore & IIM Ranchi will declare separate Final Merit Lists based on their own weightage to various criteria.
